Why emotional AI is more than a feature
Presence is not an interface polish step. If a system is going to sit beside someone for years, the layer that carries tone and memory has to be built at the same depth as everything else.
Most systems treat emotional intelligence as an extra mode or a gesture in the interface. SHV treats it as a first-class layer of the system.
When an AI is aware of tone, attachment and moments of crisis, it has to carry responsibility for that awareness. That changes modelling choices, deployment decisions, and who is given access.
